De Kaasfabriek: the Oudegracht in cheese, biscuits and dip

17 August 2026 · 4 min read

Since 2009, De Kaasfabriek has translated the taste of Utrecht into a complete range with a local wink.

Since 2009, De Kaasfabriek has been dreaming up products that couldn't come from just anywhere - they're unmistakably Utrecht. The Oude Gracht cheese boat is the clearest example: cheese named after the city's most famous canal.

They also make the Utregs Worssie, the Ech Woar dip and the Oude Gracht cheese biscuits - products you instantly recognise on a snack board, even without the label.

What sets De Kaasfabriek apart is that every product carries a story about the city. No anonymous cheese in an anonymous box, but flavour with an address: the Oudegracht, with its wharves and bridges, as the starting point.

In our boxes, that comes together in a snack board that anyone who knows Utrecht instantly recognises, and that makes anyone who doesn't curious.

A small detail with a big effect: a cheese biscuit with a joke on it starts more conversation at the drinks table than an expensive bottle of wine.
