De Koekfabriek: biscuits baked with a second chance

Since 2013, special bakers facing barriers to work have hand-baked honest biscuits in their very first bakery in Utrecht.
De Koekfabriek's very first bakery opened in Utrecht, and the city has remained home base ever since. Since 2013, special bakers facing barriers to the job market have worked here by hand on biscuits they themselves call both 'delicious' and 'honest'.
That double meaning isn't in their name by accident. A biscuit simply has to taste good, but it can also stand for something: a workplace where people get the chance they don't always get elsewhere.
Our boxes carry their festive Christmas mix - wreath biscuits perfectly suited to the season, with the crunch you'd expect from a real bakery, not a factory line.
The idea behind a Christmas hamper is often: everyone gets the same. At De Koekfabriek, that also applies to the bakers themselves - everyone gets the same chance to show what they can do.
Want a hamper that goes beyond taste alone? Then this is exactly the biscuit that makes the difference visible.
